A LOVE LETTER TO THE LITTLE SISTAS I
As a child you were innocent. You saw everyone the same. You did not categorize yourself until society decided to label you. Society decided to tell you what is beautiful, what is good, what is evil, what is ugly, what and who you are and who you are supposed to look like. What you do not know is that you are an individual, you are you! You have a different skin color, a different hair texture, but that is the BEAUTY of who YOU ARE!
DO NOT compare yourself to your friends who have more
DO NOT compare yourself to the popular girl because she might be emptier and more unhappy than you are
DO NOT feel alone because look around you, friends and family will always be there for you
DO NOT think you hair is too short or to0 thick or too curly because that IS the BEAUTY of who YOU ARE!
DO NOT let ANYONE tell you what you have on is not in because that is NOT WHO YOU ARE
DO NOT let anyone make your day the worst but make it the best by going above and beyond and loving your enemies
Everyday you look in the mirror, discover something that was always there but you never appreciated and APPRECIATE it! You would say why? the answer is because those beautiful black/brown/green eyes that are staring back at you another person at this particular moment is unable to look back at themselves and see the world
When you are combing your hair and its coarse, curly, or kinky and you wonder why did God give you that type of hair??!! appreciate it!!! Because there are many people RIGHT NOW who are IMITATING your hair texture, who are envious of YOU.
